Why is this website not written in English?

After years of my internet footprint being entirely in English, I have noticed that my conversation skills in my mother language started to diminish, many terms I knew off the tip of my tongue in this foreign language I would be stumped on how to express in Portuguese. This is not healthy for me. Writing about these personal topics in my mother tongue is a way for me to rehabilitate my vocabulary and also helps in formulating a more authentic digital persona for myself.

I am not a stray dog, and you are not one either, we do not need English to express ourselves online, our mother language is tied deeply to our souls and if you deprive yourself of it's symbols and meanings you will be forever missing a part of yourself.

However, do not let this keep you from commenting or contacting me in English if that is the one language we have in common, that is the one good part of having a pseudo lingua-franca of the web. I will not be translating any of the pages on this site, but if you would like to have a conversation I am always open to those.

Thank you for understanding.
